We do a bit of traveling and have been to some fantastic places which has got me thinking!!

Can I legally bring live mantis home with me if I buy some whilst away? This summer we are thinking of going to Singapore or maybe back to Malaysia.

Anyone know?

Hey, i'm wanting to do this whilst in tunisia. You might aswell collect them while your there rather than buy them. I think its better to bring ooths back as mantids may not survive the trip.

It's usually always restricted, but I'm doubtful authorities would do anything other than confiscate them in the freak chance they found your ooths. You'd have a harder time convincing them it's not some kind of drugs. :p

My family has always brought fruits and such from other countries, and if you are found (usually the drug sniffing dog is excited by the smell of something to eat) they will sometimes take your fruit and stuff :(

as far as i know graham is the only person in the uk that has a licence to bring back mantids from other countries.Your not aloud to do it.
