My tenodera female made an infertile ooth this noon, first i thought: OK another dead ooth for the collection.

no it's half finished, she's paper thin, and her butt is stuck on the ooth <_<

I encountered this problem with my european 2 years ago, but i don't know how i fixed that.(and it probably wasn't the right way either)

Now, what shall i do now? wait? or is there a way get it off?

She's now stuck on 15" of fake plant.

If anyone needs a picture, just ask for it.

Awww... I hope you get some help or ideas from someone who has dealt with the issue and knows. I wonder if it might help if you misted her butt and ooth? Good luck to you, and her! ;) :)

Misting never helped me, but it cant hurt, make sure it is warm water, the only other thing is maybe use a cotton swab and some really warm sweet oil of even any oil and swab the area to see if it will soften and fall off, other wise she maybe a gonner, now one other thing, u can always cut the leaf and leave enough on it so that it pulls on her a little and maybe the weight of it will help it come off. But these are only suggestions, I really have only pulled and from what u wrote, u know that don't work.

It seems she managed to free herself... although i did wet the ooth* a little.

*something that looks like nothing but is made of ooth foam stuff...

Only when we are old, God has sense of humor, when we old, we make kids take care of us and wipe our butts too! We don't eat right and we get lost and won't pick up our stuff! (can I say that here)?

Ha ha! my parents are stuck on my butt when i need to clean my room

on topic: that "ooth" is somekind of weird piece of ooth stuff..

i looked at my tenodera and noticed there was a little piece of it still there.

But she bit is off :) i gave her a roach now.

i'll try to mate her next weekend.

Had something similar happen with my unmated religiosa female this year.

After her 2nd 'half-size' infertile ooth, she had a little 'tail' of the ooth material stuck to her. It looked most like the material that forms the central core of the ooth and is hard and dark. I snipped off the excess that looked like it could snag something. The rest fell off the next day. Didn't think it was worth posting about, but perhaps this is more common with unmated females?

Glad yours is okay too.
