He are photos formatted for the calendar contest. Deadline for entry is in 2 days. I can only enter 3 so let me know which 3 you like best. They are higher resolution than I normally post so may take longer to load.

Also, considering doing a calendar of my own but don't want to compete with the forum calendar. Any thought on this?

2,7,10. I much prefer the full body shots over the close up of the head. Not saying the close ups aren't interesting. I love the detail they provide, I just like seeing the mantis in its entirety.

I would be torn as to which calendar to buy if you made one too. I think that you should make something more like a coffee table book,I'm sure you have enough material over the years.

Wow! That's a tough choice as they are all fabulous! I kind of like the portrait/close-ups because they are so different than what others have submitted and really show the detail. # 1 is my first choice of the portraits because those are amazing colors, and that's a great pose. The full mantis images are nice, too. # 7 and # 8. But any of them would be a terrific addition!

I made a bug calendar on one of the POD storefront sites that sell calendars, and I've sold a couple of calendars, though my Trumpeter Swan and horse calendars have also sold. It's a little late in the year to sell a calendar to the general public, but you could still try. Otherwise, I would create one for 2014 as soon as they allow the option. I'm not sure if I emailed you the details, but I will.

And it looks like it allowed you to upload images that are the correct dimensions! Hope it works for you in the calendar thread.

Thanks everyone.

So far the consensus is:

Tammy is right. I'll wait till next year to do a calendar or maybe a book instead. That may be my project for the new year.

I have the pro account at Photobucket so I can upload any size I want.

I don't se the 9
Refresh page. Files are large so may have got hung up.

This isn't Jude this is someone else voting for 5!!!!
Oh no! Jude's alternate personalities are taking over!

Is this the little girl personality? (Did the monster bite your dolly's head off again?)

Or is this the reserved southern bell alter? (I do declare, ma'am, you are the picture of purity and refined charm.)

I just hope it's not the neurotic slasher alter! (Please, put the razor down! I promise you, the spy satellites cannot see your soul. Turn Morrissey down and stop crying!)

I think there is normally a file size limit that Peter changed to allow larger file sizes for the contest. Otherwise, it would take up too much space.
None of my images are over 1.5mb even though they are the right size (300dpi, 3375x2625 pixels). I used as little JPG compression as possible (none are lower than 9 out of 12 quality).
