My question is can texas unicorns stay together as a pair or will pops be lunch? they seem so quiet and shy and doesnt look like a female can take a male down but ive been suprized before thanks all
+1!Pretty much most mantids can eat each other. I would keep them seperate.
Rebecca's right... They can stay together peacefully for a while... like a week or maybe 2. But she will eat him eventually, regardless of plentiful food.Let them mate and then take him away for awhile, Kats the one who has luck with them,,,, but shewill eat him if given the chance.
The question was about Phyllovates chlorophaea, not Miomantis paykullii.I must be lucky then got 2 egyptian females with a male in the same enclosure and they all leave each other alone so far so maybe its luck that they are still alive or there is some kind of kinship amongst them!
But arent they pretty much the same anyways with the claws and stuff in front and the oofs! The question was about Phyllovates chlorophaea, not Miomantis paykullii.
