Can I use crickets and roaches to feed idolos, ghosts and PW?

I know it's best to feed these guys flies but my flies just keep dying and smells"great".

You can, but it is not their normal diet, flower mantids have a certain diet of flying insects that are made up of the right ratio of protein and carbohydrates and fat...etc Ghosts are ok to feed crix to, but for Idolo and PW, try sticking to flies and flying insects: do you eclose the flies and then gutload them with honey-water ? Or do you just feed them off right when they eclose?

I feed them banana with sugar san francisco is so cold. i can only catch bees outside my house.
