I feel envious of you Mantis lovers in the U.S. , seem as if we are  on the outside of the aquarium looking in wondering how to make buying selling and shipping easier.

I would like to be intouch with other Canadian Mantid lovers to get better communication and transactions on the North side of the 49 th. parallel . Not to separate the North and South it may assist both of us to better our communication and information of our Mantis lovers.

Please return a Hello and /or suggestion to my thread.... Serle

That is a perfect way to put it. I have been constantly telling my US friends I'm coming to live with them from the moment I got into this hobby. I am so utterly jealous of them being able to just step outside into their yards and find ooths/manitds.

Reporting for roll call, I am from Nova Scotia.

Actually what piqued my interest in Mantids was in Sept. I came home to find a large female Chinese Mantis on the side of my house. I had never heard of any wild in this area , asking around I found them to be quite plentiful. (oh joy)

My main road blocks are the lack of breeders up in Canada and the cross border shipping challenges.

Keep in touch I am located in B.C. between the 2 of us is all of Canada.

Indeed, its unfortunate we are on opposite ends of the country especially with winter setting in. Perhaps come spring we can see if any trading might be done.
