Hello. I have a Carolina Mantis that I think is ready to lay her ootheca. She ate tons last week but hasn't been interested in food lately and she seems uncomfortable. She keeps moving around like she wants something. I think shes trying to find the right spot. Can I help her in any way? She refuses to stay on a stick or log and is just upside down at the top of the cage. She also seems to be sticking her head up in a crack to hide her face. Her abdomen grew a good amount in the past week. I've increased the humidity of the cage. There are small crickets in there but they have no access to the top of the cage. Should I still remove them? Thanks guys!

Add a bunch of sticks of different thicknesses, and give her some heat and humidity.  She should lay in no time.
