Catch Friut Flies

I don't want to spend a lot of money and time going to the nearest city (I'm not very close to one) to buy fruit flies.

Does anybody know of a way to catch them successfully? I don't want to catch them one at a time.

Maybe you should chuck an an old piece of fruit or something outside and wait 10 to 70 minutes and then (if there are plenty of fruit flies on it) just throw a jar over the fruit and then your done.
