So crazy story but I go outside to great a friend and spot a cecropia moth and have to take a close look( 2nd one Ive seen this year just never busted out the cam for the first, this may be the same guy too). well he had a parasite attached to one of his legs, actually right at the tip of his foot. he was very cool with me pokin at so I decided to pull it off. took a little effert as the turd was pretty attached but when i finally got it off he flipped out and landed on the ground floppin like a fish outta water. got him to grab onto my finger and he chilled right back out and i took him inside to make sure i didnt pull his whole leg off.

After seeing all 6 legs i grabbed the camera. and because of how chill he was i pulled out my female idolo for a the photo shoot. She molted 2 days ago and is still afraid of millers, and he is so massive. so i wasnt worried about her eating him. Also got a few pics when i put him back on the tree where i found him.

Cruddy 10 year old hp camera but I they turned out alright.

I love photos of the cool insects you guys have up there in the US. Very cool moth & it is awesome how you have the idolo just chilling out with him.

Forgot about the cecropias. They're so cool! I hatched a pupa back when I was 9. The fuzz is so cute!
