I believe the cost was too much to justify the use of the chat room. Added features=added costs. Peter Clausen is kind enough to keep the site open for everybody to use for free. You might consider donating to the cause to help support keeping it up. Every little bit helps.

I'm thinking of becoming a supporter but I first want to know wat it would appear as on the bill

We're talking about $12/anum for keep this forum going, young Alex! Don't "think" about it, do it! And that applies to all "members" who have not yet become "supporters"! Surely your enjoyment from participating in Mantidforum is worth 3+c/day!
