Chihuahuan mountains ooth and mantis

Hi I just founded this ooth on a journey to Chihuahuan mountains It looks like some kind of Stagmomantis tome but its bigger, longer and has a spike on the end I¿m not sure that it will hatch I founded this ooth on a mining camp inside a room and someone sprayed insecticide inside that room. but I founded a small stick mantis inside my room after that so it is possible that the poison was not strong enough

Is that first one a type of thesprotia?

The green mantis could be a Stagmomantis montana, as they are native to Mexico. But that's just a wild guess.

Great photos! Hopefully it will hatch. I wish we had more members in Mexico. It is a wonderful country with lots of interesting insects!

Great blog I think I've seen it before on 2009 lets wait and see if the ooth hatches, anyone know if it is possible to cut a piece of the ooth to check if they are alive?

no way to tell, it looks fresh, unhatched, and the insecticide should not hurt it, unless it was directly sprayed, hopefully it was not.

Should be Stagmomantis californica. An adult female.
