chinese mantid ooths

Not sure if this is the place to look for mantids if my intention is not for pets? I am going to hatch them out, give them lots of fruit flies and set them FREE in my backyard.

I only see 2-3 mantids total every other year here in my yard in Central,Northern New Jersey, and I want to see more!

Ebay has deals that put each ooth around 2.75-3 dollars. Can anybody beat that price by a little?
