its not the same as the parasphendale agrionina. even when losing the entire leg, they grow the entire leg back within one molt. its just a small leg. then it catches up with the rest for the most part. it wasnt even noticable on my male budwing by the time he was an adult.

chong lost his leg at L5. It only grew about a centimeter at L6 (the black stub you see there, under the knee, is what grew). After molting again, to L7, the leg is finally really growing back. but its squiggly, and too small to catch up once he reaches adulthood. hes only got one more molt left. either way, he will be okay! im curious to see how much it will grow with the next molt, and if it will be useable. and also if it will straighten out.

i find this very impressive.

Impressive, I agree. One of my L2 T. Sinensis was missing a leg and at L3 it's got a miniature leg where there wasn't one. It's very cool.
