ok so i have a chronicle to tell. DISCLAIMER-im not blaming either person i mention here for the way this played out. i dont think anyone is lying about species ID and things that went wrong were out of anyones control anyway
i got a few young pairs from DeShawn. i reared them up but only 1 female survived to maturity. all 3 males did. i got a fresh adult female from aryia too
both stocks were labelled gemmatus but aryia's were more vividly colored. nonetheless i had both females mate with all of DeShawn's males several times
DeShawn's female is eggbound (rare for creos) and the first of aryia's gal's ooths tried to hatch 3 nymphs but they got stuck. nothing since and the ooths are 2 months old
i wonder if there are 2 different species im dealing with, or inbreeding or wolbachia
