so i have 6 creo p. L3 nymphs in a 32 oz deli cup. I have been misting & feeding megs every day. yesterday they still had left overs.

i know they will need to be seperated soon (how soon?) so I keep well fed...should I be concerned of over feeding? is daily too much? I just dont want them to snack on each other.

btw thanks TransAm!!! they are very cool to watch!

To be safe I think you should separate them now if you can. I do not worry about over feeding my mantids. But I have never had a creo before. I like Creobroter sp. a lot!

At L-3, they are able to eat HF with Hydeis as a supplement. They can be raised together but only if there are a lot of places where they can keep away from each other. Otherwise one per 32oz. deli container could be ideal with some modifications for more ventilation and some humidity producing substrate. They are ok with this size enclosure even as adults. As long as for the final molt there is the entire height of the deli-container available for that molt.

You could keep them together, communally in a 12" netcube. I kept them well fed and did that and didn't have any troubles or notice any issues until one got their wings. The first day of adulthood, the behavior difference was very noticeable as she was suddenly territorial and threat displaying at the other nymphs. So I separated them into 32oz cups with a cloth lid as soon as they got their wings.
