my creobater layed a large fertile ooth and im just wondering whether i should keep it or not.. i really like this species and ive never hatched out an ooth before :)

i have a few questions;

can they feed on d.hydei at L1? (i don't breed d.melonogaster so this would make it alot easier)

how communal are they and until what instar?

how many hatch out of an ooth?

you can feed them either kind of fruit fly and should keep it and can prob make profits off the nymphs if you dont want some of them and around 30-50ish nymphs or more can hatch from a single ooth and mostly what I done to keep numbers at a tolerable level is keep them all in a net cage and feed them and they can be communal until maybe 2-3 tier (Instar) and let them feed on each other till theres is a number you can feel comfortable with and that makes sexing them out easier too by this method as well and mine can handle either kind of fruit fly even my egyptians whose nymphs are smaller then the gemmatus can also handle either one so should not matter which fruit fly you use and should take 4-5 weeks at most to hatch them even at room temp!!
