I received some Creobroter nymphs and ooths, but unsure which Creobroter and would like to know. I have a fresh adult pair for you to give your best guess or for sure. Thanks for your help. I know if they are pictipennis someone is looking for them.

I''d call this, C. pictipennis. It and the very different C. gemmatus seem to be the only two in popular culture in the US. Please remember that since the pattern on the tegmina is chiral (asymmetrical) the pattern may change from one day to the next according to how they fold their wings. You can see this if you Google Creobroter pictipennis and check out "Images". Hope this helps.

Your pix, BTW, are much better for identification than most that I have seen on the web.

Thanks! I tried to get good ones so it would be easier and I wouldn't get asked for "better" ones. :D I was thinking pictipennis, but wasn't sure.

They both look like c. pictipennis to me. My adult female turned orange/brown after her final molt, very simialr to the shade of the top picture.

C. elongatus

They are not C. pictipennis for sure.
