I found this neat little guy while mantis hunting in my yard yesterday. From the little bit of information I found on the net, he's Ctenus hibernalis, a species of wolf spider only found in Alabama. I named him Marty. :) I'm usually not a big fan of spiders (as in, I still have to call my dad to come squish them) but as long as he stays safely in his deli cup, I'm happy to observe him without freaking out. Watching him hunt is especially cool!

Sorry for the crappy photo quality, my cell camera isn't the best for taking pics through a deli cup, LOL.

I'm wondering just how aggressive Marty is: I kinda want to take him out, but I really would rather not get bit. Does anyone have experience with this species or similar wolfies, as far as handling? :hang:
