Ok, have/ had an ooth and kinda sprayed the enclosure too much and left it for a long time in a plastic tub and I came back to find it was *soft*... In my paranoia, I cut open a small part of the ooth and it looked alright- white soft squidgy things (which i cut through so obviously no movement) - but was just wondering- when you cut open ooths, what are the *good signs*?

is a soft ooth necessarily a bad thing?

Many times they are kinda soft but should'nt be moist. If you do need to cut one you should cut it on the end and only enough to expose the first row of eggs. You should see developed nymphs or yellow colored eggs full of liquid.
