My 5 grubs aren't growing and they are all still l1. They hatched in the beginning of September and I only had one molt to l2 but it died. I am feeding them a mix of 7:3 or 8:3 or 9:1 mix of dead hardwood to dead leaves. I am not feeding them any supplements but they arem't really growing.

what is the temperature at? they may think it's the dead of winter.

I generally rear these out in really soft rotten birch/maple wood. I boil it first to kill pathogens

I also add fish flakes as a protein suppliment and I don't let it get too dry

The temp. Varies actually from 70 to sometimes almosy 80 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't fees them supplements but the substrate sometimes does turn bone dry for a few days at certain points

Also do you use 100% rotten wood or partly rotten wood? Is supplement feesing helpful for their speed of growth? Thanks in advance
