Well, I ended up getting two new Hierodula Membranacea delivered. But, one of them is half dead and missing three back legs. And I think the other is another female. Like the others, she's up at the top of her cage. I'll standby, but it doesn't look like the other one will last must longer, he came with a molted exoskeleton so I'm thinking he molted during shipping, which is dangerous. But that doesn't explain the missing limbs.

Anyway, I'm still talking this over with the person I got them from, I'll still need a male of this species if I'm right about my new Mantis's gender, I believe the half dead one is a male, but since he's in terrible shape....This was one of the last sites I could find this species, damn....Does anyone know if a Mantis's limbs can regenerate?? Even so his back is also bent.

@Benayla Yes nymphs can regenerate limbs as long as they still have the first limb segment nearest the body; otherwise, without that segment it can not regrow in future molts. Most nymphs require 2 to 3 molts to fully regrow the limb, but is usually function (but much smaller) in 1 to 2 molts. Of course if the mantis is an adult (has wings) it is done molting and will be unable to regrow the limbs.

Molting issues during shipment is sometimes common, and most I've gotten arrived safely. If your noticing limb issues it sounds like a very rough shipment; however, if though the limbs are no where in the container that is evidence that the mantid was placed in the container that way (and it wasn't shipping related). I'd check the package/containers carefully...
