Death by light?

Hii I got a mantis I had her for a few days but when I got back to school she was hanging buy the light and dead I don't know what happened and how can I prevent it from happening again.

What type of light are you using?

It keeps saying tubular soo I'm Unsure what watt it is I'm thinking of get in a mesh that will keep them out of most of the light while sill making them warm and getting new bulbs

yes it is separated by glass from the main part of it though
