Not quite sure if anyone else on here has any Decimiana Bolivari. If you are, just seeing if you're having the same problem I am as far as breeding goes. I bred a couple females with a male some time back in the beginning of December. It's now soon to be February yet not a single ooth in sight. I mated them singly male/female, then later put them in a communal setting with a few females and some males for like a week or two, kind of like how I do with my ghosts (That's also when the males got eaten off) in hopes that they'd mate again. If I was lucky, at least one female should have mated TWICE or more before the male got eaten off! Yet to this day I still see absolutely no ooths. First time playing with this species so who knows.. maybe they take awhile before they lay an ooth?

If you know something that I don't, feel free to share. :)

It does take a while after mating for the female deposit an ooth. Keep the mated female alone in a tall container as she will need the space to build her ootheca which is a very long bean-like string.

It is a South American species which is experiencing wamr and humid weather now so keep them about 80-85F/ 50% with frequent misting. The first ooth is usually very long, i have seen one about 10 cm long with the thread. usually female will start to built ootheca from the top of the net but once a while from the fake leaves too.
