Hello everybody.

I'm from Mexico City; I want to be one of the first Mantid Breeder's in Mexico, so I buy some ooths from mantisdeperu an old user who be expulsed because he do fraudulent bussines here in the forum; I knew that very late.... so I bought him:

1 ooth of Phyllocrania Paradoxa

1 ooth of Hymenopus coronatus

1 ooth of Euchomenella heteroptera

1 ooth of Sphodromantis lineola

The ooth of S lineola hatched 1 month ago....I was very happy.....but now.....2 months later I feel very angry and sad because my other 3 ooths didn't hatched yet!!!

I supose they are infertile ooths; I must wait more time incubating....or what???

This ooths are incubating in special tuppers with 28°C of temperature and 70% of humydity......but I don't see changes.

What can i do??

Thanks for your answers and greetigs from Mexico.

Wait another month and then get upset if they don't hatch.

Rick can I answer in spanish?

Well, The last time I hear from this guy was that he was going to Mexico city to try to open a store or mantis. Illegaly ofcourse because well he cant open a store unless he is "mexican" legaly. AND he tried to find some mmm "business partners" but it wasnt really business for them...

Last time any of the guys I know spoke to him was about a month ago, prolly a month and a half ago. I would tell him though, I told him 4 of the ooths I got for him didnt hatch (acontista concinna) and he never told me anything about them.

Hope he gives you your money back.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with purchasing from this person. The chance of the rest of your ooths hatching at this late date are now slim. And I very much doubt you have any hope of recourse with Mantisdeperu. I think your best course of action is to enjoy the S. lineola (I think you are lucky it hatched!), and consider it a lesson well learned.

Hopefully the Breeder Feedback section will help you and others to know who has been proven trustworthy to do business with, and who to use caution with. I recommend always researching and checking to find information and feedback about anyone you buy from or trade with. And if the person is new and you cannot find any history or references on them, be very cautious... especially if they only post in the Classifieds to sell or trade. I wish you the very best in the future with good trading. :)
