I'm fairly new to the insect hobby but I do have a pretty decent carnivorous plant collection. I'm also quite "into" growing ant plants (Myrmecodia and Hydnophytum), they are epiphytic plants that form a massive hollow caudex to provide shelter and food for their symbiotic ant species. If you're on the Ontario Carnivorous Plant Society, you probably already saw most of these pictures. If any insect hobbyist in Canada is looking to get started on growing carnivorous plants, definitely shoot me a PM and I'll get you started. :)

Beautiful pictures!  Too bad I live in the US. :(

For those of us in the US, there is a company that I see at a lot of my local reptile shows called "Cait's Carnivores." Here is their site, for anyone interested:  http://www.caitscarnivores.com/

Actually picked some carnivorous plants up for myself the last time I was at the reptile show in Hamburg PA! They are so pretty, and love catching all the flies that get loose in the house when I am feeding my mantids ;P

@hibiscusmile http://ocps.proboards.com/ <------Did you mean the link to the other forum I was on? There's many carnivorous plant vendors in the US, and I think I may know a few people in the US that can get you started.

@Sarah K Thanks! The feeling is mutual, I can't find many insect (especially) mantis enthusiasts in Canada. I'm still "mantis-less". Nice purchase at the reptile show, which species did you get? Carnivorous plants are definitely the type of plants for mantis enthusiasts. :)

Sorry, meant to respond sooner! I got two Sarracenia minor pitcherplants. One has a really cool flower on it at the moment!
