I don't see too many postings on this species and I find it surprising after having raised this one. Such a nice looking mantis and very chill. I decided to take this guy out today and place him on my lamp for a bit, but ended up leaving him there almost all day. He even took 4 BB flies out of my hand and ate them while staying there.

Hope to see more of these soon.

This is another species I definitely want to keep someday...

I noticed my own mantises like to sit on lampshades, too. I take out a different mantis each day and place them on my lampshade. They seem to love it and always stay put til I put them back in their houses.

I'm just curious, is that a bonsai tree in the windowsill of the second pic?

I wish. It's a plastic fern plant. I would love to own a bonsai tree, but I'd like to have one of the bigger ones that are about 3-4' tall.
