Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to post since these are mostly pics, but still development of this species anyway.

Family: Mantidae

Sub-Family: Deroplatyinae

Genus: Deroplatys

Species: D. lobata

Distribution: Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, Borneo.

Hey Guys, D. lobata is the first species among the common three that we have cultured before back in 2007, so we have some experience in breeding them I hope lol. Unlike my brother who yearned for H. coronatus when he was a young boy, this was what I yearned for when I was a kid.

We acquired them at of course the same area we acquired the other mantids that we have at home. We brought home a few of them, 2 adult males, 3 adult females, 1 sub-adult male and 1 sub-adult female last November. So far 2 females that were unmated in captivity laid 1 ooth each, which one of them hatched 2 weeks ago. As for the other adult female, from the looks of it, she just turned adult when we got her so she didn't mate until around 4 weeks after in captivity. Got an ooth from her on Jan 15th which hatched out around 60+ nymphs on Feb 20th

So here are the pics from L1 to L7 (no pics of L2 though sorry)
