what is a good temp to incubate Devil Flower Mantis ooths and would 80ish degrees be ok?

would keeping a lamp on it 10 hours a day or so work or would it dry the ooth out?

Don't keep a light directly over any ooth. In my opinion, that would just be stupidity.

Even a 75 watt bulb could bake a container, being close enough.

Just heat up a cabinet with a heat lamp and put your oothecae containers low leveled, not so close to the light.

Get a couple temp. gauges and put a 100 watt bulb in a cabinet. If it reads 85ish then you're grand for many species of ooths.

I am using a 5 gallon fish tank and put on one side inside the tank is the ooth I want to incubate and a thermometer and on top of the metal screen and facing down is the dish lamp on the other side so the ooth is not directly under the light but the heat circulates in the tank and so the ooth would keep warm and not be cooked from the light! So far the temp in the tank is 86 degrees!
