Firstly, there are 11 known species within the genus Parasphendale; P. affinis and P. agrionina are, I think, the only two in stock.

The taxonomic differences are not easy to explain, but in brief the following will determine which species you have.

a) The pronotum of the female is longer than the forewings - P. agrionina

b ) The pronotum of the female is as long than the forewings and the male has a rosy area on the hind wings - P. affinis

Please note that this IS NOT the correct way of speciating the genus, but merely a way of distinguishing between

P. affinis and P. agrionina.
