Did it die? I've have mantids survive after a fall. Sometimes I spend an hour or so holding them up by their back legs so that they can finish up. I've saved 3 mantids that way so far. Good luck!

Is he dead? Are the limbs and body ok? If there are more molts left it will correct minor things like slightly bent shields and such, but bent body parts are serious.

Oh, that is bad. Sorry that you feel bad. If he was still molting you could have held him from two legs.

Nope, I came home and he was all balled up on the foam, skin hanging from front legs but I think he'd already been that way quite a while.

Sad. He kept hanging out so low down in the container and I suspected he was gonna molt because, not eating but he kept staying so low!

I had excelsior in there and now I'm thinking he needed a twig?

And thanks on the title compliment, I'm trying.

Sorry to hear that :( , but it happens to the best of people at least once in a while, even if everything seemed right so don't be to hard on your self, I do find twigs and branches are the best by far for molting from.

So I am taking Hibiscus up on her offer and I ordered a bunch of other stuff (you are gonna put me in the poor house)!

New victim uh I mean pet on the way!
