does anyone use google earth

i was just using google earth to see if there are any places to hunt for insects in my case mantids. and was wondering if any of you use it to plan out your "day"

It may be ok to get an idea. However, things can look totally different once you get on the ground and look around in person. I don't use it because I already know where to go. I find my spots by being outside and hiking and fishing.

looks like a good idea. I guess you could judge from the pictures where the grasslands are by the colors? I guess I'll have to try this
