I noticed my two 6 month old female Polyspilota Aeruginosas eyes to not change to as deep of a red at night as they used to, and they are slower about spotting food at a distance. Is this just due to old age or is it because I don't cover their tank at night? Let me know! I want my babies to make it to 9 months! (preferably longer, lol)

Eye's can dis-color with age, if your talking 6 months as adult, that is already a good long time for most mantis, so your doing something right! ;)

They start to shut down a little at a time as they age. I have L4-L5 nymphs if you need new babies.

They are 3 and a half-4 months as an adult I think. I think they were born in early April. Still, I'm surprised all my mantises are alive, including a wild caught male of indeterminate age.
