i wanted to get a cute smiley shot and a contrasting horrific one with the jaws open but it wouldnt oblige so i fed it to a mantis. hrumph!
I've thought several times about investing in a sweep net, just haven't taken the plunge yet. Do you use yours a lot? Just wondering if they are worth having for the price. They are quite a bit more expensive compared to a large aquarium fish net that I usually use.im holding its hind wings. dragonflies are hard to catch sometimes but i have a big net with a long pole. they do bite though.
Thanks for the imput, Olga... I appreciate it!definitely a good investment. so much easier to catch things. but make sure to get a huge one (big radius) otherwise whats the point?
Lol... yes, he does.... and he just rolls his eyes. I keep one in the van, along with a couple of Critter Keepers too. And in the summertime I often just pull over, grab my net, and go searching to see what I can find. My son has gotten to the point that whenever I suddenly pull over unannounced by the side of the road anywhere, he immediately starts whining, "Mo-ooooo-oom... I don't want to look for bugs! Can I stay in the car?" I pulled over once last summer with hubby and son in the car. They both put up some complaints, but not for long. We were about 1/2 mile from home, and they took off walking for home without me, lol. I had the last laugh though... I had the house keys and the garage door opener!yhahaha, I can see u running around with a fish net, does your hubby know what u do while he is away?
