I think Mr. Bug Man (Chinese mantis) has started the process of his final moult and I am slightly freaking out! He has just recently developed slight droopy butt issues and I revoked his “hang upside down from the top” privileges to prevent it from getting worse. The drooping abdomen isn’t severe and only occurs when he’s hanging upside down for a bit. Would he be ok moulting on the side of his container on mesh? Or do they ABSOLUTELY have to moult upside down from the top of their enclosure? I’ve attached a photo of him currently on the side of his house, any suggestions or ideas are appreciated!
