I have never caught a birth, but just missed this one. Maybe someday...

Scott: It is nice to see the little pale looking new offspring. I am waiting for mine to get that far.

I forget, how to tell the difference between the sexes, but mine have not yet had any babies.

Which ones have the wings, the male or female ( I seem to remember male!!??)

Anyway, I have a problem with using the roach nymphs as feeders when placing them directly

into the mantis cage.

If the mantis sees me put it in, and it's hungry, it will go after it sometimes.

But, the little roaches are masters of hiding and making themselves invisible by keeping absolutly

still, which they can maintain for days.

The mantis usually does not find them.

The adult roaches are a different matter, the mantis will eventualy find them.

Unless I take the mantis nymph out and put it in a empty jar with only the roach nymph in it, it will

not find and eat the roach.

I cant count the times I have cleaned mantis cages and found roaches that had been hidding for days

or weeks!!

I have tht prob too lol

Males have long wings ;)

Wat temp r your roaches at? Mine were kept at room temp from July to last Monday and only 12 babies came from 4 females in that time :(

For me, they dont start to mate until the temp is 90F.

Anything under that, nothing!!

I put a UTH under the roach tub.
