Why is that a "fail", just don't feed them for a few day's if you think there to chubby? I think they look fine, better than too skinny...

 
I keep mine looking like this quite a bit so they don't start to think their cage mates look tasty!

 
No this is not an epic fail. An epic fail is when your mantis tries to jump from his plant to your hand but times it just as you happen to be moving your hand and he goes splat on the keyboard instead. That or when you have silly old lady mantises who think they can jump, and one tries to hop on your face and instead ends up falling about three inches backwards in the opposit direction because her body is the complete opposit of areodynamic. :p

Nope, what you have posted here are a bunch of adorable chunky monkey mantises. :wub:

 
also, to show how much of a failure i am, i thought all of my multispina were subadult

until one of them molted the other day and was still a nymph:

My creos look equally fat after eating BBF's or the 2-3 HF I pop in to try to get rid of them (too many HF at the moment...lol)

 
I have 3 day old Creos that are just as fat off of mels.

Looks like you are skiing doing a great job
