No this is not an epic fail. An epic fail is when your mantis tries to jump from his plant to your hand but times it just as you happen to be moving your hand and he goes splat on the keyboard instead. That or when you have silly old lady mantises who think they can jump, and one tries to hop on your face and instead ends up falling about three inches backwards in the opposit direction because her body is the complete opposit of areodynamic.
