So, I was looking for some extra fruit flies till mine start hatching out of their pupae...and I found this cool little store here locally that specializes in reptiles. They have 32 oz fruit fly cultures for... <choke> 9.99. begars can't be choosers I guess. And they have real pinhead crickets (woot!).

anyway, I was a bit amused to see they had (their terms) "regular" hydei...which mysteriously are the size of melanogasters...and "MEGA" Hydei's, which are the size of hydei's. Am I losing my mind or do they just have these labeled weird?

The good news is...very nice, very clean well kept store. They sell frozen feeders for snakes and have a really nice selection of reptiles.

..and my lineolas and Chinese LOVE the crickets. Life saver until my house flies arrive. I am curious if S. lineola's like crickets better than flying insects..they got seriously excited by them.

Do you want to throw out a plug for your local store?
Do you mean, what is the name of the store? It is Reptile Specialists. I did find a very deformed skink there today, it looked very wrong. The store was too busy to get the scoop though. They have some absolutely gorgeous healthy adult iguanas too...
