I know this species needs to be fed mainly avian prey but at this time I don't have a steady supply of them around. What I have been getting away with are dubia nymphs from my colony. The trick I use is have them right side up on a container lid and drop the dubia near them to stimulate a fly landing. They grab them the first chance they get! I've been doing this since they were L1 nymphs. They are now L5 and still loving the dubias. I still give them the occasional fly, moth & lacewing but about 80% of it is roaches. Could I get away with it till they reach adulthood? Will they get eventually sick? Thanks

I'm glad to hear it works as the vast majority of my collection gets dubia roaches of varying sizes. I've been leery of Idolos simply because I have heard they need flying prey.
