I have 4 baby nymphs that I caught outside a couple weeks ago. Theyve been eating fruit flies but I just ran out. I just caught what I think is a wheel bug nymph that is about the same size as the mantids. I was wondering if it is safe to put the wheel bug in with the mantids for food.

I dont know what that is, but u can put some rotting fruit or other delectiables outside in a bottle and in no time u will have more fruit flies.

Welcome. Please make an introduction in the intro forum.

I would not attempt to feed a wheel bug that is the same size as the mantids you have.

+1!

Your mantis may become wheel bug food!

Wheel bugs are predators just like the mantids. Well except they suck the insides out instead of eat the whole body.

I have fed them to adult chinese mantids but would not feed to a similar sized nymph.
