So I mated a pair of Carolina mantises today, 2nd time mating the pair, and just after the male jumped off the I noticed the female was bent around eating the spermetheca on her abdomen. Does this mean she rejected the spermetheca? Is there any particular reason why she would eat it so soon after mating?
