Yesterday one of my adult female Pnigomantis medioconstricta died. Over a week ago my only female Sphodromantis sp. "Blue Flash" died. Today my other female Pnigomantis medioconstricta seems to be dying. The males seem fine. The sub-adult female Blue Flash had brown liquid on her mouth and her tip of her abdomen. The female Pnigomantis medioconstricta that died yesterday had only a cut wing. The female Pnigomantis medioconstricta that is dying now has her egg laying opening (ovipositor?) wide open. Does anybody know what is wrong?

i was thinkin it was a cricket problem since females eat more and they all seem to be dying

i'd switch to roaches

start by buying lobster roaches from roach crossing or something, they are very reasonably priced and lobster roaches are a GREAT feeder insect! breed and mature quickly and are easy, hardy, and not NEARLY as much of a hassle as crix :)

buying them was the best decision i ever made ;)

i actually have a huge burst of new adult lobster roaches now, they seem to all molt at once, have over 20 adults from the 100 mixed i bought

i only feed nymphs to my animals so adults reproduce :)

I knew roaches were a whole lot better than cockroaches but I ask my dad to get some. We can maybe get some roaches now. I did not think the crickets would be this bad.

Oh, and I needed to hand feed both of the females because they would not eat. The other female that died yesterday did not eat for 3 days. When I wanted to try to hand feed her she was almost dead.
