I'm v=really proud of my iPhone for taking such a great photo of this tiny mantis. They're so beautiful! It's L2.

Cute little bugger! I find my iPhone 4s does a decent job as long as I take the pic from like 8 to 10 inches away then go back and edit the picture, crop it and inhance it get it all zoomed in and pretty :)

That's what I do too! I use an iPhone 5 now, but I don't notice any significant improvement over my old 4S. Photos look better on the iPhone's more accurate display though.

When I had some Orchids as pets, I used to take one or two (at L-3 and older) to work with me and let them crawl around at my desk and book shelf. Once in a while, I would let too much time pass and I lost track of where the mantids where. I always found them because they were doing that crazy back and forth motion as if they were in the wind. I love this species. Congrats on getting some. They are worth the trouble.

They are beautiful, wish I could have snapped some up but I've got a full house/room again lol,I didn't realize how pink they were even that young :)

Pretty little thing. As you probably know, I am in this mainly for photography, and that is the first picture I have even seen of my L2's. The only pics I have taken were of the L1 and lady bugs.....what's wrong with me? :)

Btw, I agree.....very good photos for a phone.

I have a few of its siblings, but I don't have a phone or a camera capable of photographing these tiny things. I'm supposed to be getting an old iphone, so hopefully I'll be able to take pictures of mine.

From the looks of it, the one in the last picture is possibly male, as it doesn't have a notch in the last big abdominal segment.
