Hi, I'm Alan Jeon. I'm located in Montgomery, AL though I stay most of my time at Auburn University since I'm a student there. Some of you probably know me from Beetleforum and roachforum. I've been interested in mantids for a long time, but was afraid to kill them in captivity since I did not have constant supply of feeders.

Now that I own 80+ species of roaches, I've decided to take a big step into this hobby. My collection is modest so far, consisting of 3 Brunneria borealis adults collected from local area along with 4 oothecae, and a female Sphodromantis viridis I received from a friend of mine that mismolted because I kept her in a small enclosure (I'm feeling really sorry for this girl. Thank god that she managed to molt again and fixed most of her problem). Hopefully I'll gain more experience with breeding mantids and get better at it as my collection grows :)

Hello Alan and welcome to this forum too

With that many roaches sounds like you will have plenty that you can cull from your colonies to feed many mantids. Just curious though with that many species do you supply or sell the roaches, or simply keep them all as pets?

Thank you :)

I keep them as pets, but do sell some occasionally when the colony grows too large.
