Finaly an Ooth!!!

my big female Mantis religiosa finaily laid her ooth! im excited to give raising the little buggers a try. i was going to put the ooth in the fridge for a couple of months before i try to hatch it(heard you have better sucess with these speicies with a few months of cold) and if i get another ooth soon i am going to just try and let them hatch...on a side note i now have another male to mate her again after her next ooth...that is if the male lives that long!

Glad to hear it !!! but once she has been mated the sperm lasts for rest of her life, but you can remate her if you choose. can't hurt.
