My dad bought me a 75 gallon aquarium! I said fish are expensive but he says it is nothing compared to mantids. I do not think he knows how much Mbuna cichlids are. He got me three Common Goldfish to start it but they died over night. That is strange. I do not know why they died. They were in bad shape but not that bad. It must be something else. Anyway they were just for testing so they were not very important. We will get goldfish. They will be nice to watch. I have not had fish for a year! I have had them from when I was very young (two Parrot Cichlids that were amazing and many other fish when I was young). In the tank I want to have Auratus, Demasoni, Polit, Iodotropheus sprengerae and maybe others but do not think so. Maybe that is too many cichlids. I think maybe only Demasoni.

Make sure water is old or treated, new tanks do not have the bacteria needed for fish, maybe get the fish store to give u a dirty filter or a good bit of used gravel from their tanks, not the best way as they will prob have a lot of parasites into the gravel, but if I remember correctly , most do not use gravel, but something that has the bacteria started in it is needed, maybe even buy a gallon of fish water from them to add . I am sure they will sell it, then wait a couple weeks before adding fish and then just a few . Wanted to say just a few cheapies, but life is not cheap! u get me meaning! :shifty:

Hahahaha! Well these were cheap :shifty: . I know about fish. :tt2: The sand was sand without anything living in it. I could not find any kind of parasite on the fish which I thought certainly they would have. Goldfish are able to live in tap water that was not left out. I think it was stress from a person. They were not well fed.

I am using a weird kind of filter right now. :helpsmilie: :clown: In South Korea fish are cheap. Many Mbuna cichlids are something like a doller each there.

True, goldfish are capable of outlasting most other fish if they were healthy.

Even when not so healthy. All other fish I know of die after a few hours in tap water because of the chlorine but Common Goldfish do not. It is amazing.

When i was three i apparently figured goldfish would get tired of drinking water, so i mixed it with Koolaid mix........

The goldfish survived though

Oh, my! How old were you? My dad got me four Common Goldfish and those other three were free. One died after one day in the tank with a thin layer of aragonite sand and one seemed to be dying but is doing a little better now. My dad got me a filter to make more oxygen and it is not weird! My dad did not know many fish are very expensive in America. If I want to get cichlids I have to buy them which will be harder than mantids............. I thought he was going to buy them I think he was. I cannot buy anymore mantids. I feel like I will go mad LOL! I could make money with these fish but if they die it will be terribly bad!
