Hi everyone. I am looking to trade these for nymphs, more-so then sell. They are made of the elytra of the Green Jewel beetle, Sternocera aequisignata. A friend of mine from Bangkok started making these earrings with his family a few years ago. Normally, these beetles would be collected, having their soft bodies fried and consumed, with the elytra and pronotum being discarded. Now the gorgeous wing covers are being used for something, rather then being thrown away. Also, the insects are being collected after a natural death now, as they only live for 1 to 3 weeks as adults. All of the metal hardware is made from Sterling Silver.
The elytra are cleaned in a alcohol bath, then further sterilized with a high heat treatment.
EASY & CHEAP CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEA!
If you would to BUY them, they will be $9/pair - shipping included.
If you would like to TRADE, message me and we can work something out!
I have many pairs of these available.
I like paypal of purchase. PM me if interested!
