I had to apply Frontline on my dog today, I saw a couple of fleas on him. I wanted to know if this has caused problems with anyone's mantids. I always wash my hands after petting him, and before and after touching my mantids. I haven't put it on him for about 4 months. It seems to work good for 3 months even though the package says every month. Now I am worried about it, but I don't want fleas and tics on my dog, or in my home. I last used it on him about a month before I found my first mantid. There have been no issues from that, but now that it is fresh I hope it doesn't somehow hurt my mantids. My dog has never been allowed in my bedroom, that is where I keep my mantids.

it wont do anything to the mantis that I know of unless your dog comes in contact with them close up and personal!

Use it every month. No issues. I can't see how this could affect your mantids.

I am starting to feel better. For some reason I thought it would get in my skin and on anything that I touch. I have had a weird phobia of pesticides and chemicals, that got worse after having a child. I was worried about the frontline when I first started using it, before I kept any mantids. I guess I am just a worrywart.

I could understand how you would think there's a link. I would have the same thought if I used it!
