hello. So I have two cultures but would like to know how to get the fruit flies into my enclosure which houses many chinese hatchlings without either parties escaping.

 
not possible! :lol: most put in fridge for 3 minutes to slow them down then can add to cage . tipping the nymph cage sideways so they run up away from the lid helps giving u seconds too.

 
I use a funnel. You don't mention what kinda of enclosure your mantids are in. It can be done. If the fruitflies are flightless there is no need to put them in the fridge.

 
They're in one of those large plastic garden salad tubs with puncture holes for now. I need to get them a net enclosure today. Pretty sure the ff's are flightless.

UPDATE : After some messy experimenting I figured it out! the fridge trick works good but they're flightless so it's pretty easy.Thanks all! My chinese are eating like champs :)
