My carolina nymphs hatched earlier, but it occured to me I don't have any fruit flies! I do, however, have a breeding colony of dubia roaches, and was wondering if the newly hatched dubias could be used instead? Or are they too big? Is there anything else I could use?

I would give it a try, roaches are better than nothing. My Carolinas have surprised me a few times by taking large prey. If you can't get ff's then see if you can get some micro crickets. Ff's would probably be the best thing, though.
