greetings all,
I had 2 extra i4 pairs of Blepharopsis mendica I can part ways with. each pair is $30 or take both pairs for $50
this is the Egyptian bloodline of this species so a heat source to keep them in the upper 80s is needed. I keep mine under a 150W ceramic heat emitter and they are doing beautifully! at this instar, they are tackling blue bottleflies without issue
here's an i4 male:
and an i4 female:
remember that the females have an extra molt, but this is probably not too big an issue as they are long lived. while they tend to be peaceful in a group, if you only start with 1 or 2 pairs you may not want to chance it...
also remember that these are empusids and cannot climb smooth surfaces
mine are living in a net cage with hanging raffia straw. the cage gets a daily mist of water
LAG only guaranteed with overnight express mail. if the mantis arrives dead, I will refund the mantis but not the shipping (unless I get a shipping refund from a delayed express package). express mail will run between $30 and $35, whereas priority will be more like $12
if you want insulation or cold packs (which are probably not needed for this desert species) let me know
pm if interested, US only!
my feedback
